We’re starting at Balgone for a 18km (approximately) run following parts of the John Muir Way. This one could be a full on sprint as it is flat all the way, perfect to warm you up on a crisp winter morning.
Starting on the Balgone farm site and winding your way amongst the woods and fields this run is multi-terrain with a mixture of groomed paths and proper muddy farmland, so choose your footwear carefully and tie your laces tight ready to fly along this flat course.
Series prizes for this years events will be based on your best three placings. You must enter the full series or the 5k series to be eligible for prizes. Once you have entered the series take part in 3 events or more and you will gather points based on your placings. Meaning if you miss an event (or two) in the series you will still be eligible for prizes. NB: Solo event entries will not be eligible for the series prizes no matter how many races you complete.
This run is a mixture of quiet roads, farm tracks and the John Muir Way path. The course takes you around the Balgone Estate passing the beautiful ponds backed by the sharp cliff face.
Starting at the working farm of Balgone, this flat trail run heads out along the John Muir Way, leaving the mud of the farm behind you, before looping back and taking in the beautiful ponds backed by the sharp cliff face.

This family run farm on the outskirts of North Berwick is the perfect place for a night time adventure, heading out through woodland and on to muddy farmland. You may need to watch your step as it can get a little muddy underfoot.
Race car-parking will be in a field on the Estate. Please follow the directions of marshals.
It is winter so bring something warm to wear for before and after the race. For the race wear run clothing suitable for the weather on the day and make sure you are in your trail shoes, on-road trainers are not advised.
We are not going up any massive hills on these events so you do not need to carry full hill kit. You may want to bring a waterproof jacket and extra layer just in case the weather gets chilly.
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted to run with you at these events.
Full route information will be published on our website around 2 weeks prior to the event. Some routes require land owner permission and cannot be recced prior to the event, we therefore do not publish the route in advance of the events.
