The final race of the series takes us back to our roots at FoxTrail HQ with the classic 16K route including a run on the sands of Belhaven Beach and the atmospheric bridge to nowhere.
The 5k route is a mixture of woodland paths, farmland trails and coastal paths.
The course will be fully waymarked and marshalled, so no need to worry about getting lost, just enjoy the views! And be off the beach before the tide comes in.
NEW for 2023/24: In a change to the previous format series prizes for this years events will be based on your best three placings. So enter the full series or the 5k series, take part in 3 events or more and you will gather points based on your placings. Meaning if you miss an event (or two) in the series you will still be eligible for prizes.
This entirely off-road run from FoxTrail HQ through the woods and around the nearby Hedderwick Farm will take in well used woodland paths and a touch of farmland paths before heading back along the sandy tracks of the John Muir Way for the sprint finish.

Be prepared once again for a mix of terrain, this time over a fairly flat course. Whether this is your first FoxTrail Event or you are completing the series, this is the time to give it your all and make a massive sprint for the finish.
Prize giving will include series results so stick around, you never know you may be a winner.

The athlete briefing will be posted here approximately 2 weeks prior to the event, an email will be sent out to competitors entered before this date to let them know it has been posted. Please take time to read the briefing and take note of the registration and start times.
Please make sure you arrive in time for registration as volunteers on registration move out on to the course and so are unable to register you after the registration closing time.
Foxlake Adventures

Located in the heart of East Lothian 25 miles east of Edinburgh, Foxlake is nestled in beautiful woodland on the edge of the John Muir Way.
Race car-parking will be on site and will be allocate on a first come first served policy, using the main car park first and then the over-flow car park. Please follow the directions of marshals on arrival.
It is winter so bring something warm to wear for before and after the race. For the race wear run clothing suitable for the weather on the day and make sure you are in your trail shoes, on-road trainers are not advised.
We are not going up any massive hills on these events so you do not need to carry full hill kit. You may want to bring a waterproof jacket and extra layer just in case the weather gets chilly.
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted to run with you at these events.
Full route information will be published on our website around 2 weeks prior to the event. Some routes require land owner permission and cannot be recced prior to the event, we therefore do not publish the route in advance of the events.
