FAQs

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

It is winter so bring something warm to wear for before and after the event. For the race wear run clothing suitable for the weather on the day.  The courses are all on tarmac so on road trainers are the best choice of footwear.

WILL THERE BE A BAG DROP?

A bag drop will be provided, you will be issued with a baggage label, this will need to be detached from your race number and attached to your bag.  Please do not leave single items (coats/jumpers) pop them in a bag and label them up.

CAN I RUN WITH MY DOG?

Sorry but no.  We are expecting a high volume of runners and we don’t want your dog being trodden on.

CAN I RUN WITH MY CHILD IN A BUGGIE?

Sorry, no.  We are expecting a high volume of runners and unfortunately we will not have the space to accommodate buggie runners.  You can leave your buggie in the buggie Park within Bag Drop, please fold it down to it’s minimum size for storage.

CAN I WEAR HEADPHONES FOR THE EVENT?

Yes, you can use headphones but please do not wear noise cancelling headphones.  We would recommend the use of bone conductor headphones to keep your ears free for hearing any instructions that marshals may have, if you are using earbuds please keep your music to a low level so instructions can be heard over and above your music. Remember are providing music around the course anyway.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE RUN TO RUN UNACCOMPANIED?

If you are over 8 and running the family mile you can do so unaccompanied as long as you have your parent/guardians permission.  If you are over 11 and running the 5k you can do so unaccompanied as long as you have your parent/guardians permission.

WILL I GET A MEDAL?

There will be medals for the Toddler Dash and Family Mile, the 5k event finisher will be given a special race memento.
